I guess Carl Sagan never learned about what happened in Vietnam after the U.S. pulled out.

When the U.S. exited Vietnam over 1.8 million South Vietnamese were slaughtered in execution centers and re-education camps. The Communist Khmer Rouge regime murdered over 3 million Cambodians in massive killing fields after the U.S. exit.

It was the worst genocidal event since the holocaust. But, no one ever really likes to talk about that.... I guess because Oliver Stone never made a movie about that part.

oh man, so true Jen! I'm pretty sure we all have a touch of some kind of mental problem. Yeah, maybe some counseling would be good, Dan.

I've had days like that at work before, too. And it's especially bad since my work can be so subjective; If I don't hear from my clients right away, I worry that they hate my designs and I'll lose the job. It's just so silly.

It's not corny really to compare your situation to that of someone in a third world country...some types of therapy actually suggest that that can be quite therapeutic. Maybe it would be good to see about going to some counseling to figure out what is going on with you? Sometimes it's nice to talk to someone who really is just a stranger with no bias about what you should or should not do. You're not seriously mentally ill or anything, but when you consider the genepool we come from, we're all likely to have some sort of depression or anxiety pop up at some point in our lives. I can maybe help you find a counselor if you want to, just let me know. Love you, little brudder!

I really don't think I ever said anything of the sort (assuming you're talking about me.) Maybe you were just being paranoid and defensive that everyone is against you because you are "different." I personally don't care if you read about or subscribe to evolution.

3 Nephi 14:1-5

I think this ^^ book is a fine, informative, well-thought out resource on eternal truth, but some people don't. I would like to sit and talk to certain people more often about why they feel a certain way, but I can't, because they will treat me like I'm an idiot. That is why I'm offended by people like Richard Dawkins. Does that answer your question?

Hey, remember that time we watched Samurai Champloo in your basement? I'm in an anime class this semester at the U, so I've been watching a lot of anime. Last week we watched 4 hours of Neon Genesis Evangelion, and now I love the show.
