Five 2007 Movies That Prove MPAA Ratings Are Broken
Movies January 2nd. 2008, 8:52pmThe MPAA ratings system is far from an exact science. Ratings amount to censorship; that raters are probably subject to the whims of studio pressure; and, ultimately, that the ratings board is completely unaccountable for its actions. More than any year in recent memory, 2007 demonstrated that these assertions are true.

I think it would be much more accurate if they went by specific age (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,etc) this way instead of it being PG-13 it would be PG 13-15 or Just PG-15 or whatever. Just PG-13 is way to small of a range for such a wide spectrum between PG-13 and R.
